TV architect to discuss the future of construction
Architectural designer, writer and television presenter Charlie Luxton will be in Devon this month to discuss the future of construction with those involved in the industry.
An open invitation is extended to those working in the building trades, architects, developers and anyone involved in or training for a career in construction.
The Future of Construction is hosted on 20 September by Construction Materials Online (CMO), the success story behind eCommerce businesses Roofing Superstore, Insulation Superstore and Drainage Superstore.
Andy Dunkley, Chief Executive Officer at CMO, said: “Our success lies in being at the forefront of technology and design trends, build techniques and materials as we supply to the industry across the UK.
“We want to discuss, share and celebrate the future of construction. It’s a dynamic and all-encompassing subject that impacts on our homes, workplaces, cities and the environment. Who better than Charlie, with his breadth of knowledge and experiences, to share his thoughts and future predictions with us?”
Charlie is passionate about the environment and communicating his enthusiasm for sustainable architecture and eco-friendly design. Studying at Oxford Brookes University, he achieved a first class honours degree in Architecture before going on to complete an MA at the Royal College of Art in London.
As part of the day, there will be tours around the £27m business based in Burrington Business Park, drop-in sessions and a drone demonstration. Charlie Luxton currently presents Building the Dream, Homes by the Sea and Homes by the Med on All 4.
